One of the most cherished aspects of the holiday season is spending time with family. From Cape May to Atlantic City to Tuckerton, there are plenty of activities celebrating the holidays for you and the whole family to enjoy, no matter your budget or religious affiliation.
In Tuckerton, holiday décor is the focus of the Holiday House Tour, a self-guided tour sponsored by the Tuckerton Seaport, on Thursday, December 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Your tour starts at the Seaport’s Tuckerton Yacht Club, where you’ll enjoy light refreshments and pick up your map and instructions. Then, proceed to several venues throughout Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor.
The homes range from modern to historic, and include a full range of décor styles. Homeowners will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. The cost of the tour is $15 per person, and includes light refreshments. For more information, call the Tuckerton Seaport at 609-296-8868 or visit www.tuckertonseaport.org.
If you don’t get your fill in Tuckerton, Victorian Cape May also offers The Lamplighter Christmas Tour, a great way to see holiday decorations. This self-guided tour features five of Cape May’s finest bed-and-breakfast inns, as well as a visit to the Carriage House Gallery at the Emlen Physick Estate, where guests can enjoy warm wassail punch and sweet treats.

What combines a full-scale rock show with the elegance of a classical orchestra and the power of a hard rock band, complete with theatrical lighting? The Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall on Friday, December 7. This awe-inspiring musical tour de force has captivated audiences with contemporary adaptations of traditional Christmas music, complemented by original compositions. The performance is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $60.50 and are available by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420.
