Mob Scene

Luminaries including (l. to r.) Joe Piscopo, Chazz Palminteri, Leo Rossi, legendary former FBI agent Joe Pistone, and Billy Baldwin showed up at Resorts last month to support Rossi, who stars in the casino’s production of The Way of the Wiseguy, an adaptation of Pistone’s book detailing his 1970s undercover operation as mobster "Donnie Brasco." Pistone’s story was adapted for the 1997 film of the same name starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino. The script for the one-man show was a collaboration between Pistone, Rossi and Bobby Moresco—the Oscar-winning co-screen writer of Crash—and incorporates authentic recordings of actual Mafia bosses.
The December performances were a sneak-peek preview of the show, which is scheduled for a six-week run at Resorts beginning in March.
