There's few in the country music business with the reputation of Kenny Rogers. Arguably the most popular country artist of all time, Rogers achieved what most country stars can only dream of—crossing over to the mainstream. He'll perform May 12 and 13 at Trump Marina.
"The Gambler" has won more awards than his mantle could possibly fit, including three Grammys, 11 People's Choice Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards, five Country Music Association Awards and 18—count 'em—18 American Music Awards.
The Texan has sold more than 25 million copies of his greatest hits compilation.
Even though his accomplishments are amazing, Rogers isn't done, as evidenced by recently reuniting with Lionel Richie for CMT Crossroads, for the CMT channel. The concert, in which Richie and Rogers performed hits in front of a Nashville audience, was well received by critics and the show's audience.
He's on tour to promote Water & Bridges, a heartfelt, subdued record in which Rogers seems to look back at his life an reflect on its ups and downs in his usual easy-to-swallow, mainstream country style.
Expect Rogers to perform some of his new songs as well as many of his hits, including "Lucille," "Love Lifted Me," "Coward of the County," "Lady," "You Decorated My Life," "She Believes in Me," "We've Got Tonight" and many more.
