Making Moves

by Casino Connection Staff

April was full of personnel changes throughout the industry.

Beginning at Trump Marina, Cheryl Wilson, who has held several marketing positions at Caesars over the last few years, has replaced Todd Moyer as the vice president of marketing. Moyer has relocated to Iowa, becoming general manager at the Diamond Jo Casino, which is scheduled to open a 40,000-square-foot expansion this summer. Moyer was recruited by another Atlantic City veteran, Jonathan Swain, a former Tropicana president, and the chief operating officer of Peninsula Gaming, the owner of Diamond Jo.

Trump Entertainment added another new member in late April by naming Ravneet Bhandari senior vice president of revenue management. Bhandari oversees planning and directing for the automated hotel revenue management system. Moving from Harrah’s Entertainment, his new Trump responsibilities also include hotel sales, business analytics, centralized reservations and all e-commerce initiatives.

Former Atlantic City entertainment executive Thomas Cantone was hired as Mohegan Sun’s vice president of sports and entertainment in mid-April. With more than 25 years experience, including management positions with the Sands and Trump, Cantone will oversee bookings at Mohegan Sun's three entertainment venues: Mohegan Sun Arena, the Cabaret Theatre and Wolf Den. For the past 10 years, Cantone was the vice president of marketing and entertainment for Foxwoods Casino Resort in Connecticut.
