Little by Little
A joint effort by NBC 40 news anchor Michelle Dawn Mooney and Grammy-winning producer Fred Jerkins is raising money for the family of a fallen police officer from Atlantic City. Twenty-eight-year-old Thomas McMeekin Jr., who died after being struck by a bus while directing traffic, left behind a wife and a two-year-old girl, Adria. Mooney wrote the song "Little by Little" in hopes of raising money for the family and others who have suffered the same loss. The CD sells for $5 in select stores, including the Pleasantville Music Shoppe, CD Exchange in Northfield and Island Gym in Ventnor. It can also be purchased online, where buyers can contribute to either the McMeekin or the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides scholarships to the children of fallen Marines and law enforcement officers.
