Ice Symphony

What do you get when you combine the artistry of Russian ice skaters performing to the live music of top Russian and European pop singers? It's Symphony On Ice, an innovative showcase of talent featuring several Olympic and world champion skaters, and it comes to Boardwalk Hall May 13, sponsored by Trump Plaza.

Ice skating is nothing new to Boardwalk Hall. The venue has presented figure skating throughout its rich, 77-year history. But the trendy concept of Symphony On Ice puts a new twist on a classic form of entertainment as audiences will be treated to the skating art of prestigious skaters from around the world.

Although the list is not definite, anticipated performers include 1994 Olympic gold medalist Oksana Bayul, a pairing of Olympic gold medalists Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sukharulidze, and four-time world champ and Olympic gold medalist Alexey Yagudin.

Taking the stage to set the scene for the skaters will be Russian pop stars Christina Orbakaite, Igor Nikolayev and Valeria. Joining them are British rocker Chris Norman, founding member of the group Smokie, and Italian singer Al Bano.
