Several popular restaurants have recently upgraded their menus to meet the growing tastes of Atlantic City patrons.
One of the busiest restaurants at the Pier at Caesars, Phillips Seafood, extended its hours to cater to a lunchtime crowd.
With a slightly scaled-down menu, lunch is offered starting at 11:30 a.m., and includes favorites such as Phillips famous crab cakes, grilled salmon and coconut shrimp. The Sunset Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. offers a midweek pick-me-up every Tuesday and Wednesday with 50-cent oysters, dollar shrimp and $4 calamari and clams casino. The specials, paired with $4 wine, drafts and cocktails, are for bar patrons only.
Moving from seafood to Italian, Capriccio! restaurant at Resorts earned the 2007 Zagat Survey Award for the third consecutive year. Zagat uses a 30-point rating scale to determine America’s top restaurants.
The gourmet experience at Capriccio! ranks not only for its stupendous service but also stylish ambiance. A new menu includes pastas paired with meats or seafood and an assortment of noteworthy after-dinner treats including chocolate fudge, cake and mousse.
Also altering its menu is the Palm Restaurant in Tropicana’s Quarter. The Palm expanded its already-extensive menu in late February, to include a 20-ounce New York Strip, Alaskan King Crab and Nova Scotia lobster in addition to bringing back several classic dishes. Pork chops and the Gigi salad are being re-introduced into the lineup while a three-cheese potato side dish and crispy fried oysters make a menu debut.
